Green Energy Rules Make Ontario a North American Leader

Ontario has introduced the Green Energy Act which invests in the province’s environment and allows companies to hire workers, and produce and sell renewable energy. A major component of the Green Energy Act include a Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) program which allows companies to sell renewable energy such as solar and wind power. As well, more than 50,000 direct and indirect jobs will be created under the Act, with investment in renewable energy projects in Ontario exceeding $4 billion since 2003.
